Herbes de Provence offers a delightful way to incorporate a bouquet of French flavors into your dishes, and its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of culinary applications.

What are the ingredients?

Summer Savory, Thyme, Rosemary, Sweet Basil, Lavender, Marjoram & Sage.

What can I use it for?

Roasted Vegetables

Herbes de Provence pairs well with a variety of vegetables. Sprinkle it over vegetables like potatoes, carrots, or bell peppers before roasting them.

Grilled Meats & Fish

Use Herbes de Provence as a rub for meats like chicken, beef, or lamb before grilling. It can be mixed with olive oil to help it adhere to the meat. The blend also complements the flavors of many fish dishes. Sprinkle it over fish before baking or grilling.

Meal Idea:  Make a beef or lamb stew with Herbes de Provence.

Meal Idea:  Bake a whole chicken or chicken quarters with lots of garlic cloves, Herbes de Provence and olive oil.

Meal Idea:  Rub olive oil on salmon and sprinkle on some Herbes de Provence and Kosher salt or sea salt. Bake it and then squeeze some fresh lemon juice on it and serve.

Bread

Mix Herbes de Provence into dough for a flavorful twist on homemade bread or focaccia.

Soups and Stews

Add a teaspoon or two of Herbes de Provence to soups and stews to infuse them with a medley of Provencal flavors.

Meal Idea: Make onion soup with our Herbes de Provence and serve it in bread bowls topped with lots of cheese.

Salad Dressings, Sauces & Marinades

Incorporate Herbes de Provence into salad dressings for an aromatic and herby flavor. It can also be stirred into tomato or cream-based sauces to add a depth of flavor. Combine Herbes de Provence with olive oil and other ingredients like garlic and lemon juice to create a marinade for meats and vegetables.

How often do I need to replace my Herbes de Provence?

Since it consists of mostly dried herbs, it can retain its flavor for 1 to 3 years if stored correctly. It’s best stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

What side dishes pair well with an Herbes de Provence flavored entree?

A French-style potato gratin, roasted vegetables, or a simple green salad with a Dijon mustard vinaigrette could pair well with the herby flavors of Herbes de Provence.

Which wines pair well with Herbes de Provence?

A Provencal Rosé or a light red wine like Grenache can harmonize with the herby and floral notes of Herbes de Provence.
